Nutritional Super Charge Protection and Immune Booster Programme

Introduction

In December 2019, COVID-19, an illness characterised by a range of non-specific respiratory, neurological and musculoskeletal symptoms, was declared as a Pandemic. The causative agent, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) belongs to the broad family of viruses known as coronaviruses. Symptoms and Course of Disease

The death rate for the disease COVID-19 is less than 0.2% and, most people will recover without severe illness and be mostly asymptomatic or with very mild symptoms. The disease does not tend to affect those under 20 years of age. Most people under the age of 50 only exhibit mild symptoms and then recover. Those above 65 are most at risk, as well as those of any age suffering from chronic health issues, especially lung disease and a weakened immune system. Chronic health issues such as diabetes, ischaemic heart disease, hypertension weaken our immune systems and lend us to being more vulnerable to any infection, including SARS-CoV-2. Those who are immunocompromised such as those with cancer, especially leukaemia and those undertaking cytotoxic therapy; those with no spleen or thymus (following surgery); those who are malnourished or depressed; transplant patients, those with autoimmune disease and those with underlying organ disease, are especially vulnerable at any age.

Those affected may develop a fever (around 37.8 degrees centigrade), dry cough (for more than half a day), fatigue, shivers throughout the body and shortness of breath, although shortness of breath tends to be a feature in more severe cases. A sore throat, headache, runny nose or sneezing is less common. Diarrhoea is uncommon but a defining symptom, although rare, is a loss of sense of taste and smell. While the majority of cases result in mild symptoms, which resolve within a few days, some can progress to pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and multi-organ failure. Lung failure can impact the kidneys and heart as well as a heightened immune inflammatory response with total disruption of the immune system. Those with mild symptoms should self-isolate and be treated at home, using normal remedies for a viral illness like the cold or flu – plenty of fluids, healthy diet, including multivitamins, rest, warm drinks, analgesia and avoid contact with other people for at least fourteen days from first exposure, if known.

Purpose of this report and health-boosting programmes

There have been several scientific studies prompted by the desire to find an optimum, rapid cure from COVID-19 amongst critically ill and very sick patients since, early global studies of the disease reported inexplicably high mortality rates, especially amongst those receiving prolonged mechanical ventilation. The common thread coming out of these impartial studies amongst experienced medical and scientific experts in the fields of critical care medicine was that this corona virus could be successfully treated using a cocktail of multivitamin therapy, combined with other, easily available remedies, designed to boost the immune system, fight infection and correct nutritional deficiencies. Therefore, it seemed natural to formulate a protective as well as curative health regimen for people who have not yet had this disease or, have it and wish to avoid severe illness and recover more quickly.

As a fortuitous by-product, this programme leads to an overall boosting of the immune system and overall health of those who follow it such that, they will be more resistant to any kind of infectious illness or other immune disorders taking hold. Indeed, this programme is designed to promote optimum health and, support women with menopausal or pre-menstrual symptoms. Further programmes, on application, are recommended by Dr Margo to address mental health issues exacerbated by this pandemic, as well as further nutritional advice and exercise regimes to attain optimum health and mental and physical well-being, including Qi Gong and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) for pre- and post-menopausal women or men going through andropause.

The programmes provide advice on supplements for optimum protection, including rationale, doses and timescales, with increasing support from Dr Margo, as required and, are as follows:

    • Basic Support for those who are generally well but want to boost their immune system, improve wellbeing and protect against COVID-19. Many people are unknowingly deficient in vitamins and essential minerals.
    • Extra support for those who have some health issues and want enhanced protection against disease as well as a detox and a reduction in their current symptoms, such as chronic pain, arthritis, asthma, hypertension, bowel problems, diabetes and allergies.
    • Super support for those who have symptoms of COVID-19 or have tested positive to minimise symptoms and enhance recovery.
    • COVID-19 Super Recovery Protocol for those requiring more intensive therapy to combat symptoms of COVID-19 or other viral illnesses.
    • COVID-19 post infection and super Protection Protocol for those having had the virus and in recovery as well as those who have compromised health and wish optimum protection from COVID-19 and other viral illnesses.
